We are happy to announce that our two major pharmaceutical excipients white beeswax and paraffin wax have been activated, and the CDE registration status have changed from “I” to “A”, which means that they are approved by NMPA to be used in marketed preparations. More detailed information can be found in National Medical Products Administration Drug Evaluation Center.
As a multi-functional pharmaceutical excipient, white beeswax is usually used as matrix in ointment, suspending agent in soft capsules and sustained-release agent in tablets and suppositories. Our Cerapharm? series beeswax is high-quality refined beeswax obtained from selected materials with little batch difference. And through super-refined process, our beeswax has pleasant odor, low impurities and low peroxide value, which can help to improve the compatibility with APIs and the stability of formulations.
Compared with white beeswax, paraffin wax is a cost-effective excipient, it is often used in semi-solid preparations to adjust the hardness of ointment. Fumei’s paraffin wax is odorless, low in oil content, and has good thermal stability, oxidation stability and light stability.
To meet the demands of different customers, Fumei has introduced a series of paraffin wax with different melting points. By controlling the melting point in a narrow range, the difference of ointment hardness caused by crystallinity of excipients can be avoided to the greatest extent.
