On May 30, 2023, Xuchang Customs and Xuchang Municipal Bureau of Commerce held an AEO advanced certification awarding ceremony for Fumei, which is the second company in Changge and the seventh company in Xuchang to obtain AEO advanced certification.
AEO is the abbreviation of Authorized Economic Operator, which is the general name of high-credit enterprises by customs all over the world. China Customs carries out AEO mutual recognition with customs of other countries or regions according to law, and gives corresponding customs clearance convenience to the mutually recognized AEO enterprises. AEO enterprises in China are equivalent to “VIP” of China Customs. At present, only high-level certified enterprises can enjoy AEO mutual recognition or regional customs clearance facilities.
Certified enterprises can enjoy the preferential rights and interests of the customs, and at the same time, China Customers will reduce the inspection frequency over these enterprises, which not only helps enterprises shorten the time of customs clearance, but also minimizes their import and export trade costs. To be certified AEO, enterprises should carry out self-regulated management according to standards, which will further guide enterprises to strengthen risk management and self-innovation, thus injecting new vitality into their foreign trade development. In addition, the cooperative relationship established between customs and enterprises can ensure the security of supply chain and trade facilitation, improve the international competitiveness of enterprises, and bring new opportunities to their development.
