Carnauba Wax
Carnauba wax is obtained from the leaves and buds of the Brazilian wax palm Copernicia cerifera. The wax is hard, brittle, sparingly soluble in cold organic solvents and insoluble in water. Due to its good surface gloss, carnauba wax is mainly used as polishing agent for tablet. It can be also used as suspending agent.
